Asfalttikallio Selects Bluugo’s Tracking Cloud® for Asset Management and Field Operations

21/08/2025 by Bluugo

Bluugo recently started a partnership with Asfalttikallio Oy to provide a digital asset management and field service solution powered by the Tracking Cloud® platform.

Bluugo has signed an agreement with Asfalttikallio Oy to deliver a digital asset management and field service solution based on the Tracking Cloud® platform. The deployment will support Asfalttikallio’s nationwide operations in asphalting and earthworks, which include over 800 machines and multiple mobile asphalt plants operating across Finland.

Asfalttikallio has experienced significant growth over the past five years, with revenue increasing from €60M to over €200M. The expansion has increased operational complexity, especially in coordinating mobile assets across sites and adapting to seasonal workflows. As a company operating in a highly seasonal and logistics-intensive industry, maintaining visibility and readiness of critical equipment is essential for performance and continuity.

Following an initial pilot phase, the Tracking Cloud® platform was selected based on its ability to:

  • Improve multi-site coordination by providing real-time visibility of assets, tasks, and site-level activity.
  • Support critical seasonal transitions by enabling centralized tracking of fleet availability and condition.
  • Adapt to existing processes through configurable workflows and role-specific access rights, minimizing disruption during implementation.
  • Enhance field usability via a lightweight mobile interface that does not require app store deployment, allowing immediate access and use on-site without installation friction.
  • Leverage computer vision to support equipment identification and condition tracking directly from the field.

Both Bluugo and Asfalttikallio are Finnish-owned companies, and the local partnership enables close collaboration, and full alignment with Finnish data governance and compliance requirements.

The next phase of the partnership includes company-wide rollout and integration with existing operational systems. Further development areas have already been identified for future stages.

Chemigate Expands Use of Tracking Cloud with Supplier Management Solutions

Chemigate, one of the leading biopolymer manufacturers in the Nordics, has been using Bluugo's Tracking Cloud® platform to digitalize and automate its order-to-delivery supply chain since 2021. During spring 2026, the platform's use will be extended to cover supplier management as well.

Regulations Change but a Transparent Value Chain Remains a Competitive Advantage

The European Parliament has voted to postpone the EU Deforestation Regulation until the end of 2026. Progress is also being made on the broader “Omnibus” simplification package, which aims to ease reporting and due diligence obligations. These ongoing regulatory changes have prompted many companies to reassess the transparency of their value chains from a new perspective.
