Merus Power Selects Bluugo's Tracking Cloud® for Field Service and Asset Management

26/08/2026 by Bluugo

Bluugo has started a partnership with Merus Power to provide a digital field service and asset management solution built on the Tracking Cloud® platform.

Bluugo has signed an agreement with Merus Power to deliver a Tracking Cloud® solution for Field Service and Asset Management, supporting operations across the more than 70 countries where Merus Power serves customers. Merus Power is a Finnish technology company listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland. It designs, manufactures, and sells battery energy storage systems and power quality solutions, with all hardware and software, from inverters to control software, developed in-house in Finland.

Challenge: scattered information across a growing footprint

Merus Power's systems are engineered for demanding conditions, including Arctic environments, and support grid stability and frequency regulation as critical infrastructure. Its energy storage installations typically stay in service for 10 to 15 years, and tracking each one across a growing international install base had become difficult. Site information was scattered across people, emails, and informal notes, with no single source of truth per site. When the person who last worked with a customer moved on, that knowledge often went with them, and maintenance history, upcoming schedules, and open customer requests were hard to track.

To support their growing operations, Merus Power needed a single place to see the full picture for every site: what had happened there previously, any recurring problems, when annual maintenance was last completed and when the next was due, whether the customer had any open requests, and anything that needed to be monitored on a daily basis.

Solution: one platform for the full service network

Merus Power selected Tracking Cloud’s Field Service Foundations package, delivered through preconfigured, best-practice processes. It gives Merus Power:

  • Less manual work. Site history, maintenance records, and customer requests all live in one place, so teams no longer need to dig through emails or ask colleagues to piece together what happened at a site.
  • Structured lifecycle data. Every asset's history and condition is captured consistently, building the record Merus Power needs to manage installations that stay in service for 10 to 15 years.
  • A better experience for end customers. Customers get their own portal to view their assets, service history, and open requests, without waiting on a phone call or email.
  • Visibility across the service network. Internal teams get full operational oversight, and subcontractors get structured access to what they need on site.

The Foundations package is a strong, low-risk starting point: a standardized deployment with predictable costs gets the platform up and running quickly and delivers value from the outset. It is the first step toward something larger – Merus Power's longer-term goal is a full asset management platform, tracking every installed asset through its lifecycle, monitoring conditions at a glance, and surfacing analytical insights across its global install base. Let this be a start to a long and prosperous partnership!

EUDR status update: EU Commission publishes long-awaited specifications – timeline remains the same

On 4 May 2026, the European Commission published a long-awaited simplification review of the EU Deforestation Regulation. The update contains some changes to the regulation’s requirements as well as clarifications to previous rulings but the core message remains clear: EUDR is moving firmly toward enforcement, with no further delays to the application timeline on the table.

Chemigate Expands Use of Tracking Cloud with Supplier Management Solutions

Chemigate, one of the leading biopolymer manufacturers in the Nordics, has been using Bluugo's Tracking Cloud® platform to digitalize and automate its order-to-delivery supply chain since 2021. During spring 2026, the platform's use will be extended to cover supplier management as well.

Regulations Change but a Transparent Value Chain Remains a Competitive Advantage

The European Parliament has voted to postpone the EU Deforestation Regulation until the end of 2026. Progress is also being made on the broader “Omnibus” simplification package, which aims to ease reporting and due diligence obligations. These ongoing regulatory changes have prompted many companies to reassess the transparency of their value chains from a new perspective.
