Tracking Cloud® AI – MCP Server

Your AI assistant, connected to live Tracking Cloud data.

Most AI tools only know what you type into them. Bluugo changes that by building a custom MCP connection between your AI assistant and Tracking Cloud® – giving it direct access to your live data and processes. Your team gets real answers from your actual system, and can act on them without ever leaving the AI interface.

Where generic AI falls short in operations

AI assistants are powerful – until they need to work with your actual business processes and live data.

AI doesn't know your platform data

Generic AI works with what you type, not with what's in your system. Every query requires manual context – copy-paste supplier records, paste workflow states, repeat for every question.

AI can advise – but it can't act

Most AI tools stop at suggestions. Triggering a workflow, creating a corrective action task, or starting a supplier onboarding still requires opening the platform and doing it manually.

Answers go stale the moment you paste them

Without a live connection, AI answers reflect the state of your data at the time you copied it. By the time you act on the answer, the data may have already changed.

Your data directly connected to AI Assistants.

Bluugo builds, deploys, and maintains a custom MCP server for your Tracking Cloud® instance. Setup happens once – after that, your team's AI assistant has a live connection to your platform.

01

We map your workflows

We document your Tracking Cloud® processes, data model, and workflow rules. The MCP server is built to match your instance exactly – not a generic template.

02

Your MCP server goes live

A dedicated MCP server is deployed and connected to your Tracking Cloud® instance. It exposes your live data and workflow engine to AI assistants through a secure, authenticated connection.

03

AI gains real capability in your platform

Your team connects their AI assistant to the MCP server. From that point, AI can read live data, run workflow steps, and create records – without anyone leaving the AI interface.

What exactly is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard developed by Anthropic that lets AI assistants connect securely to external tools and live data sources. Instead of reading static documents, the AI can query and act on real systems in real time. Bluugo builds a custom MCP server for each customer – scoped to your exact Tracking Cloud® configuration, not a shared or generic server.

What a conversation looks like

Your team asks questions and takes action – the AI handles the rest through the MCP connection to Tracking Cloud®.

What's the compliance status of Acme Components? Are there any open issues we need to act on before the Q3 audit?

Querying Tracking Cloud® – supplier: Acme Components
Acme Components has 2 issues that need attention before the Q3 audit:

Expiring soon
• ISO 9001 certificate – expires in 11 days
• GDPR data processing questionnaire – overdue by 4 days

Open corrective actions
• 1 open delivery quality claim – assigned to procurement, no response since 3 weeks

Want me to create reminder tasks for each of these and assign them to the procurement team?

Creating tasks in Tracking Cloud® – assigning to Maria K.
Done. 3 tasks created in Tracking Cloud® and assigned to Maria K. in procurement, all due in 5 days:

Task created – Renew ISO 9001 certificate for Acme Components
Task created – Follow up on overdue GDPR questionnaire
Task created – Resolve open delivery quality claim

Maria will receive notifications through Tracking Cloud®. The audit trail is updated.

What your team can do once connected

A custom MCP server allows your team to perform actions in Tracking Cloud® directly through your AI assistant. Here are some examples of what you can do.

01

Query live supplier status

Ask about compliance status, document expiry, open tasks, or risk scores for any supplier – and get answers from live platform data, not a cached snapshot.

02

Create tasks and assign them

Generate corrective action tasks, reminders, or follow-ups and assign them to the right team member – without opening Tracking Cloud®.

03

Trigger compliance checks and workflows

Start a periodic compliance check, send a questionnaire, or initiate a defined workflow step directly from an AI conversation.

04

Summarise open risks across the register

Ask for a summary of flagged suppliers, overdue items, or open issues across your entire supplier register – no manual filtering required.

05

Draft supplier communications with full context

AI writes messages to suppliers using live data from their profile – open items, questionnaire status, and previous interactions – without needing it copy-pasted in.

06

Start a new supplier onboarding

Initiate the configured onboarding workflow for a new supplier – including sending invitations, setting up the supplier profile, and assigning the first tasks.

07

Prepare audit evidence on demand

Generate a structured audit summary for any supplier – documents uploaded, questionnaire answers, corrective actions taken, and full activity history.

08

Report on KPIs and delivery performance

Ask for a performance summary across suppliers or for a specific one – delivery reliability, quality complaints, and KPI trends over any time period.

Built for every team involved

The MCP integration delivers concrete value to operations, compliance, and IT – each team gains something different from the same connection.

  • No more switching between tools to get context – your AI already has it from the live connection to Tracking Cloud®
  • Ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in your actual platform data – not generic training knowledge
  • Trigger workflows, create tasks, and assign them to colleagues – all from the AI interface, without opening Tracking Cloud®
  • AI speaks your process language – it knows your workflow names, field labels, and business rules because it is connected to your specific instance
  • Proactively surface expiring certificates, overdue questionnaires, and open risks before they become audit findings
  • Audit summaries generated on demand – no manual data gathering or chasing colleagues for status updates
  • Compliance checks and questionnaires can be initiated directly from AI conversations – shortening the time from decision to action
  • Every action taken through AI is logged in Tracking Cloud®'s audit trail – full traceability, no shadow processes
  • The MCP server is scoped to your Tracking Cloud® instance – AI cannot access data outside what you explicitly authorise
  • Hosted within the European Union – data stays within your existing compliance boundary, no cross-border data flows to worry about
  • No changes to your Tracking Cloud® instance required – the MCP server is an additional access layer that sits alongside your existing setup

Questions We Hear Often

Straight answers to the things teams ask before exploring the MCP integration further.

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol – an open standard developed by Anthropic that lets AI assistants connect directly to external tools and live data sources. Think of it as a secure bridge between an AI client (Claude, Copilot, etc.) and a business system. Bluugo builds a custom MCP server for each customer, scoped to their exact Tracking Cloud® configuration and workflow definitions.
Any MCP-compatible AI client can connect – including Claude (Anthropic), GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and others. The choice of AI tool is up to your team. The MCP server exposes a standardised interface, so it works across AI assistants without modification.
Yes. The MCP server is scoped to your Tracking Cloud® instance and only exposes data and actions that you explicitly authorise. All connections are authenticated. No data is used to train AI models – AI reads records to answer queries but does not retain or store your business data.
Setup time depends on the number of workflows and data surfaces to expose, but most implementations are completed within a few weeks of the initial mapping session. The process starts with a workshop where Bluugo documents your processes before building the server.
No. The MCP server is an additional access layer – it does not change how Tracking Cloud® or your existing workflows operate. AI assistants interact with the same workflow engine your team already uses, just through a conversational interface. Teams that prefer using the platform directly continue doing so unchanged.
Bluugo maintains the MCP server as part of your Tracking Cloud® service. When your workflows evolve, new processes are added, or data models change, the MCP server is updated to reflect those changes – you do not manage it yourself.
